sheamus
I tried to run a steady flow through my model in HEC RAS. I get the error 'Station and elevation data contains duplicate points - The cross section filter can be used to remove duplicate points' These extra points can be deleted manually, but it takes awhile and I can't seem to find this "Points Filter" function in HEC RAS. If anyone knows please give me heads up. Thanks
Clark Barlow
Open the Geometric Data editor and look in the Tools menu. You should see a tool called "Cross Section Point Filter." It's not as easy as saying "Delete all my duplicate points" but you can set criteria such as slope, vertical, and horizontal tolerances that HEC-RAS will use for filtering. If you want to minimize the number of points that get filtered, just set the tolerances really low and that should get rid of the duplicate points and maybe a few others.
