daellishou 2
I am receiving requests to see the mesh elements that I have created. The best way for us to use the data would be with a shape file. I have tried several times in the past to export the mesh to a shape file. The program does not export all elements but only the original polygon boundaries. Is this all I can get? I can capture a screen shot but this is not very helpfull. Any suggestions? John Howlett 53
We are looking into implementing this in the future. Perhaps creating a Google Earth KMZ file would help your clients visualize the mesh. http://xmswiki.com/xms/KMZ_files
Rusty Jones 6
Another option beside the one that John mentioned would be to convert the data to dxf format. Several pieces of software read DXF files including ESRI software. To do this, make sure mesh elements are displayed right click in a blank part of the project explorer and choose "Convert to CAD." daellishou 2
Creating the DXF file did the trick. I now have a mesh layout that I can use as the background for a CAD or GIS drawing. It did take a few minutes to creae the DXF file but that is OK. Thanks. Another problem solved.
