Dear all,

i am working in a drainage module, and calculating TOPAZ data. but i need some modification in its DEM cells, like modified some cells to become depression cell, and those depression cell then become my outlets.

but i wonder everytime i close the program then i re-open it, even i have saved it, i can't find the modified cell.

is there any way to save the depression cell modification?

thank you sooooo much for any hand...

Regards,

Ida,

You're right, we do not save depression cell attributes. Usually we use depression cells in situations where the basin outlet does not lie on the basin boundary (when modeling pits or mines for example). This is because after you delineate a basin using a depression point, wms will save the delineation and you usually no longer have need for the depression point.

Are you delineating a watershed for an open pit? If not and you are using the depression cell for something else please explain. If it would be helpful to save the depression point attribute, we could look into adding that functionality.

Thanks,

Clark

sorry for the late reply.

Yes i am modelling some open pits in a model file..

I am using WMS 8.1..

Ida,

If you're modeling an open pit, you should be able to find your depression cell by following the stream arc you used during the initial delineation. Since there's no way to save the depression point attribute, that's your best bet.

I'll pass your suggestion on to the development team.

Good luck!

Clark
