Chris Blount
I have a fort.74 output from ADCIRC and I want to interpolate it to an STWAVE grid. When creating the grid, the water velocity field interpolated fine, as did the surge field after changing it to a scatter. When I try to interpolate the wind velocity field using the Scatter | Interpolate to Cartesian Grid, I can only interpolate scalar values (i.e. surge and wind speed). So how do I interpolate the wind velocity? Chris
Rusty Jones
Hi, What you need to do is: 1. Convert the vector dataset into two scalar datasets. You can do this by right clicking on the vector dataset and choosing vector -> scalars. Choose x and y components. 2. Interpolate each component to the STWAVE grid. 3. Convert the components back into a vector dataset. You do this by selecting both datasets (holding shift) in the project explorer right clicking and choosing scalars -> vector. Good luck.
