BOUSS2D eta output vs. H input

Recommended Posts

In BOUSS-2D (using with SMS 9.2) I am generating monochromatic waves...prescribing a wave height and wave period. After running the model, the eta plots (observed at the wave generating boundary) that are generated do not correspond to the wave height I input. My wave period is within the limit of L>2hmax given by the BOUSS user's manual. In fact, the proper eta output occurs when L is LESS THAN 2hmax.

See attached images.

Also, when inputing the wave period, there was a value already entered - kind of a default I suppose. With this period, the model correctly computed the corresponding eta, but again does not fall within L>2hmax.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
