Bruce Campbell
Is there a way to bring geodatabases into GMS?
Michael Kennard
Yes, if you have ArcMap installed and you have a license available you can go to the GIS module, GIS menu and Enable ArcObjects. Then you can Add Data and browse to the Geodatabase. You select or multi-select the parts of the database you want to add.
Bruce Campbell
Thanks Michael -- I'd forgotten about that capability.
Bruce Campbell
Apparently, this only works with the 32-bit version of GMS? Any plans to have it working with the 64-bit version?
Alan Lemon
Right now the hold up on making this work in 64 bit is that ArcMap is only a 32 bit app so we can't "connect" to it when running as 64 bit.
C. Moebus
Is there a plan to get the Database Access (Access-Database, MS SQLServer Database, PostgreSQL database .... - Import and Export!) back into GMS for both 64bit and 32bit-Versions in principle and if yes, when? :-)
Alan Lemon
We currently do not have this on our back log but I will put an item in the feature requests for this.
