MNW2 Strange Error

Hi, I am trying to use the MNW2 well type in a model. I have 5 wells that penetrate into the first two layers of a 6 layer model. I turned on the PP flag and set the top and bottom of the well screen. I am getting a strange error message even though the model seems to run. Does anyone know what this error message means? I cant find any definition for dpp and dhp.

SOLVING FOR HEAD

***WARNING*** Partial penetration term (dpp) set to 0.0 due to misalignment of

dhp= 0.000000000000000E+000 and Q= -5929.30876902624

***WARNING*** Partial penetration term (dpp) set to 0.0 due to misalignment of

dhp= 0.000000000000000E+000 and Q= -6248.50966781681

***WARNING*** Partial penetration term (dpp) set to 0.0 due to misalignment of

dhp= 0.000000000000000E+000 and Q= -6383.93529186822

Any help would be appreciated.

From looking at the MNW2 source code...

It looks like dhp is (Delta-H due to Penetration) and it is calculated using an analytical solution. If the analytical solution fails then dhp is set to 0.0 and no partial penetration effect is modeled.

Also, pages 10-19 of the MNW2 documentation discuss partial penetration.
