Creating .bxy file

Recommended Posts

To create an ADCIRC "Boundary XY Files" (.bxy) file, make sure the current model is set to ADCIRC. This can be done using the Data menu | Set Current Model command. Once the current model is set to ADCIRC, the menu File | Save as... command should include the filter for ADCIRC "Boundary XY Files" (.bxy) file

Another option is to:

1. Choose the menu item "File | Info Options..."

2. Select "Echo to file"

3. Select a echo filename

4. In the file/echo window options, uncheck everything except point coordinates

5. Click OK

6. Now click on each node in the nodestring - the location of the selected nodes will be written to the file

NOTE: this second option will not be in the ADCIRC "Boundary XY Files" (.bxy) file format
