Convert dxf to scatter

Hi folks

I'am trying to convert some contours into a scatter set. With SMS 10.1.10 (64bit) the conversion takes about half an hour!!! But with the really old SMS 9.2 on the same computer it's a matter of seconds!

Is there something wrong with the dxf handling in SMS 10.1??

cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

Since SMS 9.2 was released, we have made a pretty big change to how we handle CAD data. There is more functionality including better file support (newer versions), and better handling of 3D data. Unfortunately, it sounds like the performance isn't what it used to be.

We will look into this and see what can be done. It would really help if you could get the files you are looking at to us for performance testing. If you would be willing, email them to support@aquaveo.com. If they are too large for email, they can give you upload instructions.

Cheers,

Rusty
