Data | Grid -> Scatterpoint

This does sound like a bug. We are confirming and adding it to our bug list so we can get it fixed.

In the meantime, you should be able to get this data converted by using the following steps:

1. Use dataset toolbox to convert the vector data to two scalar datasets (vx/vy or mag/dir) in the cartesian grid module.

2. Interpolate each of these to the scatter module.

3. Use the dataset toolbox to convert the two scalar datasets back into a single vector dataset.

Sorry, for the trouble.

When converting vector data from a cartesian grid to scatter point, it seems that any angle that the grid axes is from 0 is not taken into account in the conversion. Hence, the scatterpoint vectors are in error by that same angle. Is this a bug?

Interestingly this bug only occurs for a CMS-Flow grid to scatter point, not CMS-Wave grid to scatter point. I have sent a sample project indicating this to technical support.
