  1. Hi, I have created MODFLOW model for a region near the coastline and It ran successfully in both steady and transient state. Currently there is no sink or source terms to make the model simple. Once the model achieve a stable solution, they will be added later. Then, I tried to run it in with SEAWAT and model shows the error that Memory is not enough. I tried both Parallel, 64Bit options as well as both of them in combination but did not get any luck. The way that I ran the SEAWAT model is as follows. I assume that I did it correct but please let me know if you have any altern
  2. I set up a SEAWAT model for my model to account salt intrusion. My model is quite similar to the Aquaveo tutorial except I did not have an initial concentration and head values like in the tutorial. I used my steady state modflow heads as the initial heads and made up salt concentrations along coastline. However, my model runs very quickly and does not produce heads or concentrations and provides following message. Only difference in my model vs tutorial one is technically my model run in Modflow-NWT. Is this a problem? Would you please let me know? In addition my model has concent
  3. Hi, I made a model with solids and materials in GMS and then I used HUF package to define uniform model layers (cells with same thickness in Z directions). in eahc layer I have about 62500 cells (50 by 50 meter each). now I want to add salt into model and run 2 simulation one with 200 year and one with 150 years. MT3DMS run in each takes about 1.5 hour for each one. for SEAWAT I set transport time step to 365 days (one year) but it changes to one day and it takes for ever to be finished! (it does not even give me how long would it take for the model to reach the resul
  4. I have a working modfow and MT3DMS model of my study area. However, when I try to run seawat the model fails, and I get a "Premature end of file...". It seems that seawat runs, but does not calculate anything. I've attached a figure with prompt window for the seawat solution. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. Hi, I get the following message when I try to run SEAWAT: "ERROR: Maximum numer of point sinks/sources exceeded, increase [MXSS] in the SSM file". The proglem seems straightforward, but unfortunately I can't located the SSM file and thereby increase the number of sources/sinks. Any help is much appreciated.
  6. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to export toe position for each time step, for a particular isochlor while modelling seawater intrusion using SEAWAT? Thanks Saubhagya
  7. Hello everybody I have a MODFLOW 2000 model, which runs fine. I created MT3DMS model, which also runs fine. The problem is SEAWAT does not converge despite no error appears when I check simulation!. The message appears in mf2kerr.p00 file reads: MATRIX IS SEVERELY NON-DIAGONALLY DOMINANT. CHECK INPUT FILES Any suggestion? Thanks
  8. Hi, I am trying to simulate a SWI in coastal aquifer (transient). The aquifer is 1500 m long and 40 meter deep, and is discretized as 1500 cells by 80 cells. I am running the model for 50,000 days and apparently the model would take 9 hours. I have attached my time-discretion details. Am I doing something in an inefficient way? Would putting some different values to multiplies would help? Any help to reduce run time would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi Im trying to modell the drawdown and the drawup of brine by simulating seepage into a tunnel. The modell is in 2D, width and "height/depth". I'm wondering what the best way to do this is. DRAIN seems to be a good way to take the seepage/leakage into the tunnel away from the model because as I have understood it, it couples the head and the seepage to each other. The question is, how do I calculate the conductance-parameter, or should I just try different values to get an appropriate value of the seepage? How is the DRAIN affected by the elevation and head above? Is the elevation-parameter t
