  1. I apologize for my lack of clarity...I am interested in knowing where the cell-by-cell budget data is recorded. Can I specify the unit to which this data is stored?
  2. How can I control where modflow writes IUNIT arrays for the CCF?
  3. Thank you figured it out. Had my modules confused. Confusing mass balance from MT3D with water budget from MODFLOW.
  4. I'm having a hard time locating the water balance in GMS 8.0.7 I remember it being in the MODFLOW drop down in GMS 7.
  5. Using 'spatial join' in ArcMap I joined several shape files (point data). Then I added a new field to the shapefile in which I averaged the point data joined from the other shapefiles. This averaged data is assigned to the same points as the joined data. Then using 'add data' in the GIS module to add this shape file to my model. The shapefiles are added to the GIS module without problem, but when I chose to convert to 2D data GMS gets hung up. GMS seems to get stuck on converting the averaged data. GMS will convert the joined shapefiles in which there has been no averaging (or math) performed.
  6. I am trying to convert a shapefile to a 2D scatterpoint set. I have performed some math on the shapefile in ArcMap and GMS is getting hung up on the 2D scatterpoints conversion. Performing this conversion on shapefiles without math works fine. Any suggestions?
  7. More specifically, are there any rules of thumb for the Peclet number when using the Third-Order TVD method?
  8. Where are mistakes frequently made developing SEAM3D models? My SEAM3D model will only run with a very small timestep (2e-2 days). I've adjusted different parameters (dispesivity, Kd, bulk density, porosity) to determine controling factors but haven't found a golden bullet that would result in the order of magnitude change I am looking for.
  9. I am having a problem figuring out how to work with raster data. I have imported raster elevation data through the GIS module. From there I'd like to use the elevation data to define up-gradient and down-gradient boundary conditions, and starting head. It seems I am able to convert .shp files to 2D-scatter points but not raster files. Is there a tutorial for working with raster data?
  10. Thank you. The problem was within my .asc files.
  11. Perhaps there is a problem with my .asc files. Opening these files leads to a series of errors with 'Arc ASCII data files' ending with no 2D scatter data.
  12. Is there a way to use .asc files in GMS or do they need to be converted to raster?
  13. Thank you! I am interested in where, within GMS, I input this information. Looking in the MT3D drop down, I don't see an entry field for time of excavation under the point source or NAPL dissolution pop-ups, nor in the basic transport pop-up.
  14. Hello, I'm new to the GMS interface. Could someone please offer advice on how to set the time of excavation when using SEAM3D to model NAPL transport.
