Vista Version

Recommended Posts

Hi all:

Now, when we (mainly you) managed to solve my problem with graphics, I ask for a new question (I seem to be looking for problems, but not, I swear): Can SMS run under Vista 64 bits? Somebody recommended me this OS to improve the amount of RAM memory.

Best regards,

Jose

Jose,

SMS 10.0 runs on Windows Vista as a 32 bit application. SMS 10.1 is available as bot a 32 bit and 64 bit application. Since you have a 64 bit operating system, you will probably want to run the 64 bit version of SMS 10.1 which will allow you to work with larger meshes, scatter sets, etc.

O.K., Nice. I am usually terrified of "starting again" when all is O.K., but what you tell on larger meshes and so is quite attractive.

I'll wait to finish a pair of projects to install 64 b.

Referring to new version, I have noticed some problematic changes on CMS Flow. I'll ask in the appropriate section of the forum.

Thanks once more,

Cheers,

Jose

Jose,

You will probably also want to stick with SMS 10.0 for your projects until SMS 10.1 comes out of BETA and is more stable. This should be happening in the next couple of months.

I must be looking as a monk: I'm asking for something constantly!!!!

Cheers,

Jose
