polygon as an outlet

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

i wonder can we use a polygon to define an outlet instead of a point?

(i need to define an area / a pond, as the outlet of my watershed)

the second question, can we save the simulation file? (i think in WMS v.7 we can't save any simulation, can we do that in WMS v.8)?

okey, thank you for all attention..

lookign forward for any help..

:)

Ida,

You can't use a polygon to define an outlet. If the outlet for your watershed is a pond, you could place the outlet just upstream or just downstream from the pond (depending on what you're interested in).

As for the simulation, what model are you running?

When you save your WMS project in WMS 8.0, it will also save your rational simulation.

You can also create diversions in HEC-1 and HEC-HMS.
