SRH-2D - Number of cores dedicated to model processing

Recommended Posts

Anyone know how many cores SRH-2D will utilize? If I buy a super computer with 16 cores, will SRH-2D automatically utilize all of those or will it stop at some number?

For the overachievers out there - if SRH-2D will in fact utilize more cores when they are present, what type of increase in computation speed could I expect?

Thanks for any input.

Hi NicT,

Unfortunately, SRH-2D currently only utilizes a single core. If you buy a computer with multiple cores, SRH-2D will still only use one of those cores.

I believe there will be a parallel version of SRH-2D that will utilize multiple cores in the future, but I'm not sure when that will be.
