SFR2 but functional as SFR1

Recommended Posts

The latest versions of GMS support the SFR2 package and that looks great since SFR2 can also handle an unsaturated zone underneath the open water course. Moreover, in looking through the documentation of SFR1 and SFR2 this (unsaturated zone) is the only difference between both.

Why call it support for SFR2 while it is actually support for SFR1?

Would be great to have this functionality added to GMS in the (near) future.

Regards,

George

Yes, the unzaturated zone interaction is not yet supported in our interface. Part of the reason to call it SFR2 is that is the MODFLOW package (in the MODFLOW code) that is used. This feature is on our TODO list and will hopefully be implemented in the near future.
