Rainfall simulation in SMS

3 posts in this topic

Hi everybody,

I have recently started using SMS. I have a question.

I would like to use rainfall data (either gridded or point) as input instead of the "Flow vs. Time" upstream and "WSE vs. Time". Is it possible? Can anybody point me in the right direction? Any documentation I can read? Tutorials?

TIA

I have the same question for Tuflow simulations using gridded rainfall data.

Hi,

Actually it's quite easy in SMS. I figured it out by myself.

You just need to draw a polygon in your study area. Use the create feature arc tool to do that. Next, you need to tell SMS that this closed arc is a polygon.

You can do that by, Feature objects > Build polygon.

That's it. So you have your rainfall input area. Now, you double click on the polygon and the window for rainfall input will open.
