  1. Problem running seawat

    I have a working modfow and MT3DMS model of my study area. However, when I try to run seawat the model fails, and I get a "Premature end of file...". It seems that seawat runs, but does not calculate anything. I've attached a figure with prompt window for the seawat solution. Any help would be much appreciated.
  2. Problem when running seawat

    Hi, I get the following message when I try to run SEAWAT: "ERROR: Maximum numer of point sinks/sources exceeded, increase [MXSS] in the SSM file". The proglem seems straightforward, but unfortunately I can't located the SSM file and thereby increase the number of sources/sinks. Any help is much appreciated.

  4. Making SEAWAT model time efficient

    Hi, I am trying to simulate a SWI in coastal aquifer (transient). The aquifer is 1500 m long and 40 meter deep, and is discretized as 1500 cells by 80 cells. I am running the model for 50,000 days and apparently the model would take 9 hours. I have attached my time-discretion details. Am I doing something in an inefficient way? Would putting some different values to multiplies would help? Any help to reduce run time would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. SEAWAT does not converge!

    Hello everybody I have a MODFLOW 2000 model, which runs fine. I created MT3DMS model, which also runs fine. The problem is SEAWAT does not converge despite no error appears when I check simulation!. The message appears in mf2kerr.p00 file reads: MATRIX IS SEVERELY NON-DIAGONALLY DOMINANT. CHECK INPUT FILES Any suggestion? Thanks
  6. Hi Im trying to modell the drawdown and the drawup of brine by simulating seepage into a tunnel. The modell is in 2D, width and "height/depth". I'm wondering what the best way to do this is. DRAIN seems to be a good way to take the seepage/leakage into the tunnel away from the model because as I have understood it, it couples the head and the seepage to each other. The question is, how do I calculate the conductance-parameter, or should I just try different values to get an appropriate value of the seepage? How is the DRAIN affected by the elevation and head above? Is the elevation-parameter the level at which the drain/tunnel is situated or the head above? Is there any way to easily create a gradient of brine in SEAWAT? The brine is has more salt at deeper depth in the area being modelled. Is this the best way to modell the situation, or do you have any other way to suggest? WIth regards /robinb
