  1. Thanks! I was able to bring it in as an XYZ, but I'll check out the 11.0 beta version. Nicki
  2. I have a DEM that is in a Geodatabase raster dataset (file type). From what I can tell, I'm only able to bring it in using the GIS module in that format -- and then it is simply an image, not an elevation dataset. I need to clip the DEM anyways (a lot larger than needed for my model), so I converted it in ArcMap to a ASCII file. When I tried to bring it in to SMS as that file, it either wouldn't load properly or crashed -- possibly because I wasn't using the correct file type. So I plan to now convert the raster to an xyz file. Is there a better way to do this? Or am I missing the correct file type when bringing it in as a ASCII? Also, do you always have to enable ArcObjects in SMS before opening an SMS file with GIS objects? If I don't, the file will only open the non-GIS datasets in my file. Thanks! Nicki
