  1. I am new to GMS and groundwater modeling in general and would appreciate it if anybody has any pointers. I have access to quite a large amount of borehole data (200+ boreholes) and want to use the soil textures documented from these data to create this model in MODFLOW with corresponding soil parameters for each soil texture type (there are 18 soil textures that I used). I imported the borehole data and am trying to automatically assign horizon values, but the optimizer is not converging (after several hours). I'm assuming this is because the model is currently over-complex? I should lump my soil textures into fewer number of groups? Does anybody have any suggestions on how to simplify the model so that I can reach convergence and build solids from the soil textures? I appreciate any help! Thanks, Haley
