  1. Thank you. I am using Hydro_AS-2D. Does it have a specific file to restart the second run?
  2. Hello, I am searching for a functionality in SMS to modify a mesh during runtime of my simulation. The modification should be read at a predefined time step. Another idea is that the simulation could also be stopped at a specific point and then carried on with the new mesh. Is there a way to do this? Any hint is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Regards, M_K
  3. Thank you for your answer! Yes I'm trying to take the CAD and convert it to a Mesh. The only problem is that my CAD file has the X & Y coordinates & I want it to take the Z value of the mesh which is originally there at first.
  4. Hi everyone, I want to transfer the information of the elevations of a mesh to a CAD file. What would be the easiest way to do it? This is the workflow as I did it so far: Load the dxf-file --> Convert CAD to 2D Scatter --> Scatter to Interpolate to Mesh (Map Z) --> Scatter to 2D Mesh. Is it okay? Also if you notice the contour legend it looks very weird (- values).
  5. Hi Jack, thank you very much for your advice - now it works! For all others, that is how I did it: convert the dxf-file into scatter data interpolate scatter points onto mesh (scatter -> interpolate to mesh, tick Map Z) convert CAD Data to Map Define it as Generic 2D Mesh Feature Objects --> Build Polygons and Renumber Select all Polygons and assign them to disabled via Feature Objects --> Attributes (Mesh type = paving, bathymetry type = scatter set, material = disable) Convert Map --> 2D Mesh Merge exisiting mesh with polygon-mesh
  6. Hi everyone, since some days I am trying to cut polygons (for buildings) out of my mesh. So far, I managed to cut the polygons out but not at the correct height of my mesh. I am using version 11.2.15. This is the workflow as I did it so far: Load the dxf-file of the polygons CAD Data --> CAD -> Map Define it as Generic 2D Mesh Feature Objects --> Build Polygons and Renumber Select all Polygons and assign them to disabled via Feature Objects --> Attributes (Mesh type = paving, bias 1, bathymetry type = constant) Convert Map --> 2D Mesh Merge exisiting mesh with polygon-mesh Every hint is much appreciated! Thank you, Maria
