  1. Hi, I made a modflow model to calculated the travel time between an infiltration pond and extraction wells. I did a stochastic run with 6 parameters and a risk analyses. With the stochastic runs I want to know what the travel time distribution is but I can find a way to do this. Is there a way to get the travel time distribution from the stochastic runs? Thanks in advanced.
  2. Hi, Thanks. But when I do it in this way, the problem arise that I want to use MODPATH in de child model and according to Wiki you can't use MODPATH in the child model.
  3. Hi, For my master thesis I am making a groundwater model to simulated the groundwater flow from a pound to a well. There is already a model of this area but I will make the solids in the interest area in more detail. To avoid influence of the boundary's on the interest area I have made the model larger than the interest area. In the interest area I have made my one layers with the use of drill descriptions. Outside the interest area I have use the layers of the old model. With these two solids I have made a MODFLOW model. Outside the interest area I want to use a raster data sets for the hydraulic conductivity, for each layers. Inside the interest area I want to give one value for each layer(sand, loam etc.) The problem is that each layer in the MODFLOW model contains different solid materials. Through this I can't use "use data arrays" because this will coupled the raster data sets to the layers in the MODFLOW model and not to each solid layer. Is there a way to coupled the data sets of the hydraulic conductivity to the solids? Thanks in advance Rianne
  4. Thanks, it works! This saves my a lot of time. For the second question I mean this: the conductance of the drainage is dependent on the area of the stream-bed (C=K*A/b). In a cell of 25 by 25 meters there are several drains and therefore the conductance is a average in a cell. The cell size of my model is also 25 by 25 meters so I don't expect problems for this part. But there is an area of 2 by 2 km in which the cell size is 5 by 5 meters. I was wondering if GMS calculated the conductance automatic when you scaled up to 25 by 25 meters in cell size.
  5. Thanks for your help. It works in this way. I have only one problem. There are 45000 cells and I can't copied it in once because the program will crash. I can do 500 cells in once. So it takes a lot of time do this. Is there maybe another way? I have also another question in the old model the drainage is in the middle of the model implemented with cell sizes of 5 by 5 meters. Can I implemented these cell in the same way as the other cells? Or is in this way the value of the conductance wrong.

There is already a model of this area but I will make hydrological layers in more detail. For my model I used the drainage of the old model. The files I have are tif files with the conductance and elevation of the drains. The cell size of the old model is the same as in the new model. But how can I use this tif files to make the drains in the new model? I have the same problem with the rivers. I have the conductance, elevation and the stage in the tif extension but I don't know how to implemented them in GMS. Thanks in advance Rianne
  7. Hi, Thanks for you respond. I have solve the problem. I have make to separate solids and make it one unit when I made the grid. It is not the most properly method but it works. Thanks a lot!
  8. Hi, I have a model where the solids are not really in detail. Because of this I want to make the solids in more detail, in the middle of the model. For this I use new boreholes. I want to interpolate these new boreholes with the GIS layers, I already have. When I use the raster catalog to make the new solids, the interpolation is a bit strange. Is there an other way to make this interpolation or what can causes this incorrect interpolation? Rianne
